Survey Results Inform District Planning For 2021-2022 At Inver Grove Heights Schools

The results of the Family Year-end Survey for 2020-2021 are helping the district understand what worked this past school year and what can be improved to better address needs for next school year. Based on the survey, the top three areas that families want us to focus on next school year are emotional wellbeing, flexibility, and supports during the school day. Results also showed the three academic areas families want us to focus on next year: learning that challenges their child, student engagement, and curriculum.

Many of these areas are part of our continuous improvement process. We look forward to further work on the areas of continuous improvement, but we are also excited to start the work of refining innovations that worked for our students, families, and staff during an unusual and sometimes challenging year.

Thank you to the more than 800 families who completed the Year-end Survey for your perspective and insight.

Los resultados de ISD 199 Family Year-end Survey para 2020-2021 están ayudando al distrito a comprender qué funcionó este año escolar pasado y qué se puede mejorar para abordar mejor las necesidades para el próximo año escolar. Según la encuesta, las tres áreas principales en las que las familias quieren que nos enfoquemos el próximo año escolar son el bienestar emocional, la flexibilidad y el apoyo durante el día escolar. Los resultados también mostraron las tres áreas académicas en las que las familias quieren que nos enfoquemos el próximo año: el aprendizaje que desafía a sus hijos, la participación de los estudiantes y el plan de estudios.

Muchas de estas áreas forman parte de nuestro proceso de mejora continua. Esperamos seguir trabajando en las áreas de mejora continua, pero también estamos emocionados de comenzar el trabajo de refinar las innovaciones que funcionaron para nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal durante un año inusual y a veces desafiante.
