Swing Bridge Park tending, June 4 o 9-11 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to tend Swing Bridge Park to further ongoing ecological restoration efforts.

Located just 15 minutes south of St. Paul in Inver Grove Heights, Rock Island Swing Bridge park provides a unique river experience. Ecological restoration has been ongoing at this site since 2013, with native prairie and floodplain forests being the focus of the site. Working closely with FMR staff, volunteers will help haul and remove buckthorn as well as other invasive species, tend native prairie plantings, and complete other important tasks as needed. These tasks will help further the restoration of the site, creating habitat that supports native plants and animals.

We will provide all tools, gloves and training necessary and look forward to working with you at Swing Bridge Park.

To ensure a high-quality experience and adequate supplies, capacity is limited and advance registration required.
