Ask IGH: Anybody Been to Boston?

Famed running coach and writer Hal Higdon once said, "The difference between the mile and the marathon is the difference between burning your fingers with a match and being slowly roasted over hot coals."

I couldn't agree more.

Which is why, on the eve of the weekend of Boston Marathon 2012, I'm heading out there to watch, not run. 

But because my significant other will be doing the running, my mandate is to do the planning. She's looking for sights, sounds, dinners and happy hours. 

Here's the thing though: I've never been to Boston. 

I could easily search the bevy of Boston Patch sites to get some ideas, but after some wonderful suggestions from IGH Facebook user Sara Weberg Pitts, I'd rather ask my Inver Grove Heights friends.
