Dashcam footage released by the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) Wednesday caught what happens when vehicles don't slow down in snowy road conditions. Two troopers were stopped in Inver Grove Heights earlier this month when a semi spun out in front of them and barely avoided a collision.
Since 2008, 190 squad cars have been struck while parked by the side of the road—three of them in 2017 so far. MSP reminds drivers to slow down and increase your following distance in inclement weather and when road conditions are poor.
