what, left behind--AGAIN?

Again, the headlines are filled with news about young kids being left in hot cars all day, only to suffer a horrible demise. Just recently, it came to light that a father did it allegedly on purpose. I shake my head and wonder why.

If you put the child in the car, surely you will remember to also take said child OUT of car, am I correct? How can one just go about their business and forget about the baby? One comment that I saw posted about this brought up another good point: why do we not seem to forget our children during the winter? Why only summer?

Children should be our number one priority. Not just "a priority," THE most important priority that we have. A child supercedes work, errands, visiting  a friend, going to the casino or anything else that happens to involve putting a kid in it's carseat and taking off...especially on a hot day.  If your mind is so full of "stuff" that "forgetting" your kid will become a reality, maybe you should either delegate duties or else have a Plan B.
