Back To School: Wayzata District Elementary School Open Houses

With the first day of school rapidly approaching, elementary schools across the Wayzata School District will be hosting open houses for students and families.

Here are the dates and times for the open houses for elementary schools in the Wayzata Area Schools for the 2013-14 school year, as shared on the Wayzata School District website. Click on the school's name to get its supply list, not all lists are available on the schools' websites.

• Birchview Elementary: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, Picnic provided by the school's PTA. You get to visit classrooms and meet teachers.

• Gleason Lake Elementary: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the school's gym. The open house is 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the school.

• Greenwood Elementary: 3-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the school. The open house also includes "Curriculum Night" for grades 1-5.

• Kimberly Lane Elementary: 4:35-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the school. Meet teachers and drop off supplies during the open house.

• Oakwood Elementary: 4-5:30p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the school. Kindergarten will have its own orientation during the open house.

• Plymouth Creek Elementary: 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the school. Followed by a 6-7 p.m. Grade 5 curriculum night.

• Sunset Hill Elementary: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the school. Students meet their new teacher and classmates, followed by a curriculum evening.
