Campus News: Lake Minnetonka College Students Rack Up Honors

Jacqueline Stone of Minnetrista was named to the Dean’s List at Benedictine College.

Emeline Beck of Mound was named to the spring 2013 Dean’s List at eloit College.

Eskola Anna of Long Lake is a late recipient of the fall 2012 Chancellor's Award at UW-Stout. Anna is majoring in professional communication and emerging media. The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above. 

Randi Gresenz from Mound has been named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Dean's List for the 2013 spring semester.

Thirty-five new graduates of the University of Kansas were honored as newly commissioned officers in the armed forces during ceremonies May 20. Among these graduate was Ethan Ness, of Shorewood. Ness studied business management-leadership and was named a commissioned officer of the Marines. 

The following local students to the St. Olaf College Dean's list for the Spring 2013 semester. The Dean's list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale

• Jacob Bohler from Delano is a History and Social Studies Education major. He is the son of Scott and Marjorie Bohler .
• Karly Boll from Mound is an undecided major. She is the daughter of Robert and Linda Boll .
• Abigail Engelhart from Minnetrista is a History and Political Science major. She is the daughter of Randall and Elizabeth Engelhart .
• Emily Hemingway from Delano is a Physics major. She is the daughter of Mark and Jane Hemingway .
• Lydia Kantor from Long Lake is a History and Spanish major. She is the daughter of Robert and Monique Kantor .
• Ashley Kershaw from Mound is a Social Work major. She is the daughter of Allan and Hye Kershaw and Denise Bader.
• Anne Lips from Orono is a Biology major. She is the daughter of Daniel and Martha Lips.
• Alyssa Lund from Greenfield is a Sociology/Anthropology major. She is the daughter of David and Linda Lund .
• Kellan Passow from Maple Plain is a Chemistry and Mathematics major. He is the son of Craig and Robin Passow.
• Kaia Preus from Excelsior is an English major. She is the daughter of Christian and Elizabeth Preus.
• Amy Prok from Delano is a Biology major. She is the daughter of Mark and Susan Prok.
• Michael Roth from Delano is a Chemistry and Russian Area Studies major. He is the son of Neal and Geri Roth.
• Rebecca Tobin from Greenfield is a Biology and English major. She is the daughter of Steven Tobin and Lana Johnson-Tobin.
• Rachel Turbeville from Mound is an Economics and Mathematics major. She is the daughter of Brian and Ann Turbeville.
• Margaret Weiss from Excelsior is a History and Spanish major. She is the daughter of Tad and Wendy Weiss.
