Car Vaults off Road, Causes Slight Delays Tuesday Morning

Several police units responded to an accident late Tuesday morning on Hwy. 7 in Shorewood.

A vehicle traveling in the eastbound lanes veered off the road and into the ditch about 11:45 a.m.—closing one lane in the area while the scene was cleared.

The car left the road just west of County Road 19 and traveled about 50 yards before coming to a stop in some snow and underbrush.

Exactly what caused the accident remains unclear, although an employee at a nearby business said radio traffic between first responders indicated a medical emergency was involved.
