Jackknifed Semi Snarls Tuesday Afternoon Traffic on Hwy. 7
Police closed both lanes of Hwy. 7 in Victoria Tuesday afternoon after the driver of a semi lost control.

An accident near the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Smithtown Road in Victoria closed both lanes of traffic for more than an hour Tuesday afternoon.
Details surrounding the accident remain unclear pending release of the official police report, but witnesses said a semi truck jack-knifed around 4 p.m. Police Clips posted on its Facebook page that a medical condition caused the truck's driver to lose control and that one person was receiving CPR on the side of the road.
Other witnesses reported multiple ambulances responding to the scene. Multiple police and fire units were also dispatched.

The highway re-opened around 5 p.m., and no significant delays were being reported at 5:15 p.m.
