Take a Cruise on Lake Minnetonka to Fill Backpacks With Nutritious Food
Hungry children face unnecessary barriers as they strive to become healthy, productive and engaged members of society.

"Kids, Backpacks and Food," a fun evening cruise of connecting and networking to raise money for the Kid Pack Program in Robbinsdale Area Schools, will take place Thursday, Sept. 19 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Lake Minnetonka. Â

The Kid Pack program in Robbinsdale Area Schools sends children home with a backpack of food on the weekends so they continue to get nutritious food while away from school. One in five households in Minnesota are experiencing food insecurity, and often times these households have to make difficult decisions between purchasing food or paying mortgage/rent or medicine. Â
