New Home Construction Increases in Lakeville

According to a recent Star Tribune article, Lakeville is one of the most “active home building markets in the metro area this year.”

The Star Tribune reports that Lakeville has issued roughly $20 million more dollars in home permits this year than last. Through the end of July, the city has issued 208 single family home permits compared to 140 in 2012.

“As the year progresses, evidence continues to grow that the housing market is truly rebounding across the region,” Pamela Belz from the Builders Association of the Twin Cities said in a recent newsletter.

The association ranked Lakeville as one of the top five communities in the metro when it comes to building permits.
