8 Suburban Twin Cities Newspapers Cease Publication
Another newspaper company in the east metro has gone out of business.
TWIN CITIES, MN — Lillie Suburban Newspapers, which ran eight newspapers covering various cities in the east Twin Cities metro, has ceased operations. It's the latest print company on the east side to shutter.
Last year, publisher Neal Ronquist announced the Woodbury Bulletin office would close permanently.
"At the beginning of every year the City designates an official newspaper in which we post our public notices," the city of West St. Paul said in a statement posted on Facebook last week.

"Unfortunately, Lillie Suburban Newspapers (the owner of the SWR) has ceased operations. Effective immediately, we will be posting our notices in the Pioneer Press for the remainder of 2019. Staff will bring this to the City Council for official re-designation at the next City Council meeting."
Lillie Suburban Newspapers oversaw the following eight newspapers, which have ended publication:

According to the Star Tribune, the print company's co-owner — Jeffrey Enright — filed for bankruptcy in August of 2018. As of Oct. 1, the business still owed its pension fund more than $900,000.
