Mendota Heights Residents Named 'Top Women in Finance'

U.S. Bank executives Jeanne Fichtel and Patty Gnetz, both Mendota Heights residents, were recently named by Finance & Commerce among the “Top Women In Finance."

The “Top Women In Finance” award, in its 11th year, recognizes Minnesota women for outstanding achievements in finance and commerce. 

Fichtel, executive vice president, is responsible for the U.S. Bank customer service and ATM banking operations, which handles more than 145 million customer inquiries each year. She is an executive advisor to U.S. Bank’s Twin Cities chapter of the Development Network, served as co-chair and cabinet member of the company’s annual employee campaign for Greater Twin Cities United Way and currently leads United Way’s Women's Giving Communities (WLC andWINGs) at U.S. Bank.

Fichtel sits on the board of directors for Best Prep and volunteers for the American Heart Association’s Start! Heart Walk; “A Brush With Kindness,” a project of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity; Neighborhood House and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Paul, MN. Fichtel holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and completed the Minnesota Executive Program at the Carlson Executive School of Management. She has been with U.S. Bank for 16 years.

Gnetz, senior vice president, has made her mark in the leadership and mentoring arenas. She has developed a solid market presence through her years of developing relationships with real estate clients and her involvement in several industry associations including being on the board of directors for the Minneapolis/St. Paul National Association of Industrial and Office Properties(NAIOP) and the Minnesota Real Estate Journal Editorial Advisory Board.

Gnetz volunteers for Catholic Charities where she feeds the homeless. She also serves on the South St. Paul Educational Foundation Selection Committee which provides scholarships to students and the South St. Paul Educational Foundation’s scholarship program.
