Brief: Mendota Heights Man Dies in Accident on I-494

Mendota Heights resident Jerome Misukanis, 69, died Friday night when he was hit by a van on Interstate 494 shortly before 9 p.m.

Misukanis was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a minor accident on eastbound Interstate 494 at Highway 55. According to the State Patrol, Misukanis attempted to cross Interstate 494 on foot following the accident and was struck.

Road conditions at the time are reported as dry.
