Brief: St. Thomas Academy, Visitation Athletes Mark 1,000 Points

Thomas Sjoberg and Haley Housh both recently hit four digits in their high school basketball careers.

Mendota Heights schools can boast a few high-scorers on the court this season.

senior Thomas Sjoberg of Eagan and junior Haley Housh of Edina have both hit the 1,000-point mark in the past month.

Sjoberg scored his milestone against South St. Paul on Jan. 31.

According to St. Thomas Academy, he is the eighth player in school history to score more than 1,000 points during his high school basketball career.

Housh scored her milestone shot against Mounds Park Academy on Feb. 16.

Housh, who plays guard, has been a member of the varsity squad since her freshman year.
