Charter School Being Considered For District 197

The is considering a partnership with troubled charter school BlueSky Online in West St. Paul, according to media reports.

BlueSky provides an online education to its students in grades 7-12. If absorbed into District 197, it might be able to survive accusations from the state that they graduated students last year that did not meet requirements and that they failed to provide an adequate curriculum, according to the Pioneer Press.

In turn, District 197 could benefit from the experience of the online program in developing its own online learning opportunities.
