7-Year-Old Struck Trying To Get On School Bus In East Metro

The crash happened Thursday morning in St. Paul's West Side neighborhood.

SAINT PAUL, MN — A 7-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after he was hit by a car while trying to get on a school bus Thursday morning. The incident happened in St. Paul’s West Side neighborhood.

The student was hit at approximately 6:30 a.m. at South Robert Street and East Wood Street, the Star Tribune reports. Motorists will encounter closures near the scene of the crash.

The driver is cooperating, police said.
