Sibley Students Lead the Way for Engineers Week

Heritage Middle School students got a field trip and a key chain tag last week to commemorate National Engineers Week (Feb. 19-25).

This was no ordinary gift shop trinket, however. The sixth grade students actually created the key chains alongside students from 's Introduction to Engineering class using the high school's engineering lab design software.

The designs could then be realized through the lab's three dimensional printer.

The Introduction to Engineering class at Sibley is the first high school course in the  curriculum.

Other activities in the district for Engineers Week included speakers and building challenges.
