Initial Fall Schedule Released For District 197

Most students in the district will start the school year using distance learning, then transition to the hybrid model.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area School District 197 has released the initial schedule for its phased-in hybrid model approach.

Students in grades 1 through 12 in the district will start the school year using distance learning and then transition to the hybrid model.

Kindergarten students will begin the year using in-person learning.

Find the district schedule below:

  • Week of Sept. 8: New students to the district as well as students in grades 5 and 9 will attend a half-day orientation. Distance options will be available.
  • Week of Sept. 14: Kindergarten students and families will attend orientation activities. Distance options will be available. Grades 1-12 will begin distance learning.
  • Sept. 21: Early Learning and kindergarten students start learning in the hybrid model.
  • Sept. 28: Board special meeting to approve additional grades
  • Oct. 5: Grades 1, 2, and 5 start learning in the hybrid model.
  • Oct. 12: Board special meeting to approve additional grades
  • Oct. 19: Grades 3, 4, 6, and 9 start learning in the hybrid model.
  • Oct. 26: Board special meeting to approve additional grades
  • Nov. 4: Grades 7-8 and 10-12 start learning in the hybrid model.
