Jimmy Butler wants to be traded from the Timberwolves and has given Minnesota a list of one-to-three teams that he would sign an extension with after a trade, sources told The Athletic.
The website reported that Butler and and Coach Tom Thibodeau met on Tuesday in Los Angeles where Butler said he wanted a trade and won't be signing a long-term extension with the team next summer.
ESPN reported that the Brooklyn Nets, the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks were the three teams. Training camp is set to begin on Tuesday.

Thibodeau currently has no interest in trading Butler, according to media reports.
Butler's camp is not commenting on the report.

Minnesota's Jimmy Butler has three preferred destinations for a trade, league sources tell ESPN: The Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks. Those three teams have max cap space to sign Butler as a free agent in July.
