Letter to the Editor: Neighbors Inc. Prepares for Holiday Assistance Season
Neighbors, Inc. and volunteers help families in need every holiday season. How can you help?

Now that Halloween is history and Thanksgiving is fast approaching, many of our friends and neighbors are wondering how in the world they will be able to face the holidays this year. Neighbors, Inc. will once again be here to help those who cannot afford to buy gifts for their children. Many families have used our services for the first time this year for food due to loss of jobs and income and in some instances loss of their home(s). With the weakened economy, we know we will be busier than ever.
What can we do this year to help those who just can’t provide for their family? Your ideas are appreciated and encouraged. Let us know your thoughts, or get together with family and/or friends and think about adopting a family or just go shopping and pick up something impulsively and we’ll gladly pass along your gift(s).
People needing help for Christmas gifts and food are encouraged to apply at Neighbors, Inc. in South St. Paul. We have a crew of eager beavers on staff to accept applications and explain the program to people in need.

This year we are blessed to have Santa and Mrs. Claus and their crafty elves happily working to make the magic happen.
Let’s all share in this magical season and come together to bring joy to others!
