Letter to the Editor: Sibley Science Teachers Support District 197 Levy

To the editor:

The Henry Sibley Science Department has nine dedicated teachers with a single message for the voters within the ISD 197 school district: please vote YES on the upcoming levy. We are committed to providing the best education for our students, and passing this levy will allow us to continue our mission.

We constantly strive to innovate and improve our teaching. We have results that demonstrate the success of teachers and students. For example, our students MCA II science scores are 20% above the state average; that’s within the top 10% of Minnesota schools.

If the levy fails, it will directly impact our ability to provide the opportunities that have allowed our students to excel. Vote YES on the ISD197 levy to show that you share our commitment to providing an effective education for our students.
