Mendota Heights will be joining 141 other participating Minnesota cities. The program offers 29 optional best practices, each of which break down into specific action steps, in five key areas of:

  • Buildings and lighting
  • Land use
  • Transportation
  • Environmental management
  • Economic and community development

As a Minnesota GreenStep City, Mendota Heights will be recognized for best-practice actions previously completed, it may be eligible for financial support to create and strengthen green initiatives within the city, and it will be able to select its own pathway and pace for continuous improvement.
