March 21

A resident received a scam call claiming he had won a cash prize, but would need to wire transfer some money to receive it. The resident knew it was phony and argued with the scammer, but then the scammer threatened to shoot him.

March 20

A resident reported that her social security number was used to open cell phone accounts in Wisconsin and Illinois. The accounts were cancelled with no loss to the victim.

A driver stopped on Highway 13 didn't have a license or insurance but did have plenty of booze in his system.

March 19

A dog was taken to the emergency animal hospital after being attacked by another dog on Summit Lane.

March 18

Police saw a group of people run across Highway 13 and a “physical altercation.” A man was arrested for fifth degree assault and disorderly conduct. While he sobered up in Detox, police also found he had a warrant out of New York.

March 16

Police stopped a car driving erratically on the 2000 block of Dodd Road. Police found heroin, needles and other drug paraphernalia inside the car. The driver was arrested.

March 14

A resident of the 500 block of Wentworth reported that a burglar pried off the back window of a walk-in basement during the day. Jewelry and electronics were reported stolen. 

March 13

Police found a car abandoned in the ditch of Highway 13 north of 35E. The driver appeared to have taken a left turn where there was no roadway. 

A suspect arrested in relation to a domestic disturbance was found to have violated his terms of release from a previous domestic assault arrest.

March 12

A vehicle parked on the 1300 block of Northland Drive was stripped of its tires and rims and left on retaining blocks taken from nearby landscaping.

Someone pumped $55 worth of gas from the on Highway 110 and drove off without paying. License plate information matched the description of the suspect’s vehicle. 

March 11

A loud party was reported on Haverton Circle. The party was broken up and one female was cited for underage drinking.

The driver of a black Honda pumped gas at in Lilydale and drove off without paying. The license plate information provided by the clerk did not match a car of that description. 

Police coaxed a man having suicidal thoughts from a locked bedroom and took him to the hospital.

March 10

Three iPods were reported stolen from a home on the 500 block of Wentworth Avenue during a birthday party. 

March 7

A suspicious person was reported at the Super America on Highway 110. Police sent the intoxicated man to Detox.

March 6

The owner of a truck that had been parked on the 1300 block of Mendota Heights Road reported that a window had been broken and a bag of clothing stolen from the back seat.
