Mendota Heights Ranked Among Top 10 Best Suburbs In Minnesota

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — The city of Mendota Heights ranked ninth in Niche's 2021 "Best Suburb to Live In" Minnesota rankings.

Mendota Heights ranked behind Eden Prairie, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Edina, Shoreview, Shorewood, Chanhassen, and Plymouth.

The rankings were determined by using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, FBI, CDC and other agencies, combined with reviews from people that live in the area.

The rankings consider a variety of topics including affordability, local housing market, neighborhood diversity, local public schools and walkability, to name a few.

Mendota Heights earned a high rating for its public schools, as well as its ranking for families, housing and its nightlife options — all of which earned an A-, A, or A+ ranking.

Mendota Heights' ratings for crime and safety and diversity were the suburb's lowest at C+ and B-.

Mendota Heights also ranked #5 in "Best Places to Retire in Minnesota" and #8 in "Best Suburbs to Buy a Home in Minnesota."
