Minnesota Lottery Saw Record Sales In 2020 Fiscal Year
Lottery players won $423.6 million in prizes during the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.

MINNESOTA — The Minnesota Lottery saw record sales during the 2020 fiscal year. It's the third consecutive year that the state lottery has broken its sales record.
Between Oct. 1, 2019 and Sept. 30, 2020, the Minnesota Lottery made $668.6 million in sales. Of that, $156 million was returned to the state government.
Lottery players were paid $423.6 million in prizes, and $44.8 million was made in retailer commissions and incentives.

"All Minnesotans benefit from Lottery proceeds," said Lottery Executive Director Adam Prock.
"From state services that protect and support Minnesotans to environmental projects that protect our environment and give more Minnesotans the opportunity to connect with nature, Lottery proceeds help make Minnesota an even better place to live."
