The Minnesota State Fair Wants You To Buy Their Spare Cups

MINNESOTA STATE FAIRGROUNDS — The Great Minnesota Get-Together will not be held in 2020. The decision was made to cancel the Minnesota State Fair by the board of managers due to the coronavirus crisis.

There is some good news, however. Sleeves of Minnesota State Fair cups that are now available to purchase. Each sleeve contains 50 of the fair's 12 ounce cups.

Here are the prices:

$12 for a sleeve of 50 12 oz. cups
$14 for a sleeve of 50 16 oz. cups
$16 for a sleeve of 50 20 oz. cups

Note: 2 sleeves per person

• Cash or check only. Make checks payable to “Minnesota State Fair.”

Dates:

July 10, 17, 24, 31: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
July 14, 21, 28: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The "Admin Too Building" at 1312 Cosgrove St., St. Paul, MN 55108.

Enter the fairgrounds off Snelling Avenue and Midway Parkway/Dan Patch Avenue through the Main Gate (#5).

No Minnesota State Fair in 2020

In a normal year, preparing for an event the scale and scope of the Minnesota State Fair is a year-round operation and a mammoth undertaking. However, in the midst of a global pandemic, "it is impossible," officials said. "While the State Fair is one of many celebrations to go quiet this year, we are looking forward to 2021."

The Great Minnesota Get-Back-Together is Aug. 26 - Labor Day, Sept. 6, 2021.
