New Principal Named For Henry Sibley High School
The school's current principal will retire June 30.
MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN— A new principal has been named for Henry Sibley High School, Independent School District 197 said.
Al Johnson will be the next principal for the high school effective July 1, the district said.
Johnson is currently an administrator with the St. Cloud Area School District with previous experience in St. Paul Public Schools and Hopkins Public Schools, the district said. Johnson is also principal of McKinley Area Learning Center and has served as the principal of St. Cloud Apollo High School and the district’s director of equity services, the district said.

Johnson is replacing Henry Sibley's current principal Ron Monson who was principal of the school for seven years and is retiring June 30, the district said.
Johnson has a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Organizational Leadership from Northwestern University of St. Paul, and is also working on a doctorate in education from Bethel University, the district said.
