No Injuries After Greenhouse Catches Fire In Dakota County

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation, authorities said.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN — No injuries were reported after a growing greenhouse at the Inver Grove Heights Gertens Garden Center caught fire late Sunday night. City fire crews responded just after 6:30 p.m. and the blaze quickly rose to a three-alarm fire. Other local fire departments were alerted.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation. There was fire damage to part of the greenhouse structure, some equipment, and plants.

"Limited access to the structure, a large wood chip pile inside, long hose lays, and ice all created difficulties," the Inver Grove Heights Fire Department said.
