Police Activity Completely Shuts Down Mendota Bridge
The bridge remained closed as of 11 a.m. Monday.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — The Mendota Bridge was completely shut down early Monday morning due to police activity. The bridge carries Highway 62 and Highway 55 from Mendota Heights into Minneapolis and St. Paul.
According to the Star Tribune, the bridge was closed in both directions before 4 a.m. Carver County Sheriff Jason Kamerud told the newspaper that the bridge was closed because of a police chase.

As of 11:30 a.m., the Mendota bridge remained closed.
The Mendota Bridge remains closed in both directions due to law enforcement activity on the bridge.
