MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN— Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer in Mendota Heights, and this year, many residents will mark the new season with a three-day weekend filled with memorial services, outdoor events and backyard barbecues.

At this point, your weekend is likely planned to a T. But, as most of us know, Mother Nature could always step in and ruin that carefully outlined itinerary with a trifecta of rain, storms and cloudy skies.

Sunday will be overcast with possible rain and a high of 73 degrees.

Monday is forecasted to be mostly cloudy but with temperatures in the high 70s and no rain.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high in the low 70s before dropping into the 50s Saturday night with a chance of showers.

Memorial Day will be mostly sunny with a high around 72 degrees and 30 percent chance of showers.
