MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — With a snowstorm making its way through the Twin Cities metro, residents of Mendota Heights may be wondering what the parking rules are during a snow emergency.

"When it snows more than two inches, Mendota Heights will issue a Snow Emergency and vehicles need to be off the street until the street is plowed full-width (does not matter if it is day or night)," the city notes online. "Violators will may be cited and towed."

Parking is banned on all Mendota Heights city streets daily, 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., from Nov. 1 to March 31:

"The Winter Parking Ordinance assists plow drivers to clear streets to full width quickly and it increases the ability of your Police Officers to spot something unusual or out of the ordinary as they drive through our neighborhoods," the city states.
