Spirit of Hope Catholic Community will hold an insightful 4-part series deigned to create dialogues that make a difference. “Invisible Wounds: The Journey of the Healing Mind” will begin Thursday, March 9 with a soup/bread supper at 6:30 pm., followed by dialogue from 6:45-8:00 pm. Discussions will continue on March 16, 23 and 30. The series is open to the public and all are welcome.
“It can be easy for us to have compassion for the one who walks in our midst with crutches and casts,” said Bishop Marty Shanahan. “But when someone walks into our midst with wounds that are hidden in the recesses of the human brain, compassion can be fleeting or nonexistent. This series presents an opportunity to discover our own understandings and provide new tools to help us live the pillar of hospitality.”
Spirit of Hope is co-located with St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 2035 Charlton Road, in Sunfish Lake.
