A goal by Cadet Peter Kreiger in the second period put the score at 1-0, where the score remained for the final buzzer. 

The close pairing between the No. 2 and No. 3 seeded teams stood in stark contrast to both team's quarterfinal pairings. . Breck beat Marshall Duluth 7-0 on Wednesday.

St. Thomas Academy will take on the Hermantown Hawks at noon on Saturday in a rematch of last year's championship game, when the in overtime.
