Sting Soccer Club Represents at State Tourney
Three teams from the Mendota Heights and West St. Paul soccer club traveled to Rochester last weekend for the MYSA state tournament.
The Sting Soccer Club's U12 girls, U13 girls and U13 Boys teams played at the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association State Tournament in Rochester this past weekend.
The U13C3 girls won their division. They beat Chanhassen/Chaska 2-1 in their first game on Saturday, then topped River Falls 5-2 later in the day. On Sunday, they beat a second Chanhassen/Chaska team 1-0 in the championship to win the title.
The U13C3 boys placed third place in their division. Sibley lost 2-0 to East in the semifinal round, but rebounded to beat Forest Lake 1-0 in the third place game.

The U12C3 girls team also made it to state, where they tied Edina 1-1 on Saturday, then lost to Rochester 3-1 on Sunday. The squad did not advance to the championship round.
