UPDATED: Suspect Arrested in Connection with Mendota Heights Robbery, Police Chase
A man was arrested in Bloomington at about 2 p.m., according to the Mendota Heights Police Department.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the on Monday afternoon, and the ensuing police chase and search.
Scott Allen Swanlaw, 43, was arrested at about 2 p.m. today by the Bloomington Police Department in Bloomington, according to Chief Mike Aschenbrener.
“He is the guy we were looking for after we got the vehicle yesterday for sure,” Aschenbrener said.

The suspect may be connected with other recent robberies in Eagan, West St. Paul and Bloomington.
Swanlaw is being held at Hennepin County Jail pending charges. It is expected that law enforcement agencies in Dakota County will file a criminal complaint with the Dakota County Attorney's Office.

Mendota Liquors was robbed shortly before 3 p.m. Monday. The suspect escaped in an sports utility vehicle.
His trail was picked up by Rosemount Police about 20 minutes later, and multiple agencies followed the vehicle through northern Dakota County before the suspect fled the vehicle under the High Bridge and escaped on foot.
A did not turn up the suspect.
However, Aschenbrener said that investigators were receiving more information as the search went on, and worked “all night long” on the case.
Locations in Bloomington and on the West Side of St. Paul were put under surveillance prior to the arrest.
