Three Charged in Mendota Heights Home Burglaries

The trio may be responsible for two Mendota Heights home burglaries.

Three Minneapolis residents have been charged in relation to two Mendota Heights burglaries this spring.

Connie Kay Stillday, 51, and George Reed Stillday, 55, have been charged with one count each of second-degree burglary. Ezequiel Hernandez-Mendoza, 19, has been charged with two counts of second-degree burglary.

responded to a burglary in progress May 24 after a sharp-eyed resident saw two men enter a home holding walkie-talkies, with a female in the suspect vehicle.

The witness was able to report the vehicle description and license plate number to police, who pulled over the vehicle and its occupants after it left the scene.

Inside the car, police found a St. Thomas Academy hockey bag, jewelry, computer components and an X-Box 360.

Hernandez-Mendoza told police he had assisted the Stillday couple in multiple burglaries throughout the metro area in exchange for a place to stay. The stolen goods were immediately handed off or pawned. He said the trio is responsible for another burglary in Mendota Heights that occurred April 17, according to the criminal complaint.
