Veterans Day Ceremonies in Mendota Heights Area
The state's official ceremony is a few minutes away in Inver Grove Heights.

Official Minnesota Veterans Day Program
What: The state's official Veterans Day Program is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at in Inver Grove Heights. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force and Governor Mark Dayton invite veterans, families, elected officials, and community members to celebrate and honor all veterans who have served this country with bravery. This program was selected by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as the official regional site for the 2011 observance.
When: Free community breakfast 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.; ceremony at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 11.

Mendota VFW Veterans Dinner
What: The annual dinner at the is free to all veterans that register by phone, 651-688-7408. A few openings may still be available. Veterans from the post will also be attending the state ceremony in Inver Grove Heights earlier in the day. Speaker Stan Kowalski will address guests.
When: Happy hour, 5-6 p.m.; dinner at 6 p.m. followed by a program and ceremony.
