Westbound I-494 Reduced To A Single Lane Overnight April 5-6
All lanes will reopen by 12 p.m. Saturday, April 6, weather permitting.
DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Motorists traveling on westbound I-494 in South St. Paul should plan for delays as westbound I 494 is reduced to a single lane Friday, April 5. Beginning at 8 p.m., westbound I-494 will be reduced to a single lane between Highway 61 and Hardman 7th avenue as crews pour concrete for the Concord Street bridge.
All lanes will reopen by 12 p.m. Saturday, April 6, weather permitting. The concrete will need to cure before reopening the lanes on Saturday afternoon.
These lane closures are part of a larger project on I-494 where crews will widen, resurface and replace bridge joints on the Concord St/Hwy 156 bridge, construct auxiliary lanes on westbound I-494 between Hardman Ave. to west of 5th Ave., improve drainage and construct noise walls.
