Woman, 19, Rescued After Kidnapping In Inver Grove Heights: Cops

Three people were arrested at the scene Wednesday night.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN — Three people were arrested after a 19-year-old woman was kidnapped in Inver Grove Heights Wednesday night, according to police. On Aug. 5 just after 10:40 p.m., police were dispatched to the 5400 block of Blackberry Trail on a report of someone being held against their will.

Police were able to communicate with the woman, and a short time later, three suspects began to come out of hiding and were taken into custody.

The teen also exited the location and was able to speak with officers about what happened.

After interviews, three people at the scene were booked into the Dakota County jail on suspicion of kidnapping, 911 interference, and drugs. Charges have not been filed.

Police from Apple Valley, Lakeville, South St. Paul, West St. Paul, and the Dakota County Sheriff's Office assisted in the incident.
