Only one victim was listed in critical condition, police said. The others had non-life-threatening injuries.

In a statement released Saturday morning,

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said the violence leaves the community to once again "process the reality that bullets have struck innocent bystanders."

"These outcomes are not fated. We can stem crime in our city, but it will take all of us coming together with a renewed commitment to preventative work and a shared resolve to stop the gun violence and bring the perpetrators to justice," Frey said in the statement.

Police have not identified any possible suspects; however, there is no ongoing public safety threat, authorities said on Twitter.
