49th Annual Twin Cities Pride Festival Will Be In July This Year
The two-day festival will take place July 17-18 at Loring Park from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days
TWIN CITIES METRO, MN — The 49th annual Twin Cities Pride Festival, which took place in June in previous years, has been pushed to July this year.
The two-day festival will take place July 17-18 at Loring Park from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days.
The change in dates is because of the rapid change in COVID-19 guidelines, Dot Belstler of Twin Cities Pride told Patch.

"We moved the festival to July because after the governor updated the guidelines we just didn’t have enough time to plan the June Festival," Belstler said.
Twin Cities Pride also had the option to hold the festival in October, but opted for the July date instead, Belstler said.

The Saturday night concert and fireworks are cancelled this year due to time constraints, the organization said on its website.
Despite the annual Pride festival being moved to July, Twin Cities Pride is holding a variety of other events throughout the month of June.
