Afternoon Stabbing Leaves 1 Deceased In Minneapolis

Officers arrived and went into a residence where they located an adult male who was deceased from apparent stab wounds.

February 25, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – Shortly before 4:00 Thursday afternoon, Minneapolis Police received a 911 call reporting a possible stabbing on the 2700 block of Aldrich Avenue South.

Officers arrived and went into a residence where they located an adult male who was deceased from apparent stab wounds. The suspect fled on foot prior to officer’s arrival.

Preliminary investigation yields that this may be domestic related.

There is not believed to be any ongoing threat to public safety.

Homicide detectives spoke with several people in the area who may have information.

Crime Lab personnel responded to document the scene and collect evidence.

The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
