Attorney Evan Berquist Elected to Membership at Cozen O'Connor

The law firm of Cozen O’Connor has promoted Minneapolis business attorney Evan Berquist, from associate to member in the firm.

Berquist advises clients on a wide range of transactional matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. He works for clients big and small, including startups, middle market companies, private equity investors and large multinational corporations. He also serves as outside general counsel to a number of emerging or closely held companies. Berquist advises entrepreneurs, investors, and management at each stage of a company’s life cycle, including entity formations, governance, financings and commercial transactions.

Among Berquist’s accolades is his recent selection by Minnesota Lawyer Magazine as a 2018 “Up & Coming Attorney.” He is also a board director of New Vision Foundation, a nonprofit that teaches coding skills to disadvantaged youth in Minnesota and East Africa.

A lifelong resident of St. Paul, Minnesota, Berquist received his law degree from Stanford University Law School (J.D., 2011) and his undergraduate degree from Colorado College, (B.A., magna cum laude, 2004). After law school, he served as a judicial clerk to the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
