Evening Shooting Leaves 1 Dead And 2 Injured In Minneapolis

Crime Lab personnel responded to document the scene and collect evidence. The Homicide Unit sent detectives who started an investigation.

February 25, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – On Thursday evening at 6:45 pm, a a caller to 911 reported a shooting in the area of the 2300 block of 17th Avenue South.

Officers arrived and located three shooting victims on the sidewalk. All three appeared to be adult males. One was deceased, one was in critical condition and one had non-life-threatening injuries. Officers immediately provided emergency aid to the to surviving victims while other officers looked for a suspect and cordoned off the area to preserve evidence.

Two of the victims were transported to Hennepin Healthcare by paramedics.

The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
