Gophers Volleyball Team Beats Badgers

The No. 2 ranked Minnesota volleyball team continued their stellar season Saturday, defeating No. 3 ranked Wisconsin in five sets.

The No. 2 ranked University of Minnesota volleyball team continued their stellar season Saturday, defeating No. 3 ranked Wisconsin in five sets. The Gophers capped the regular season 25-4, 17-3, and remained undefeated at home for the second-straight regular season.

The win over Wisconsin marked the fourth-straight five set win for the Gophers. The Gophers took down No. 1 Nebraska Wednesday.

Minnesota defeated all ranked opponents, Michigan State, Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin in five sets.

Minnesota had 64 kills, 81 digs and nine blocks, according to Gopher Sports. Sarah Wilhite earned a double-double with 23 kills and 19 digs. Molly Lohman earned a match-high eight blocks with four kills.

Minnesota will forward to the post season play following the NCAA Selection Show Sunday on ESPNU at 8 p.m. CT.
