Inside of the stolen vehicle was a 15-year-old deaf dog which the man said he ‘found’ a couple days ago. Officers did not want to put an elderly dog into the ‘pound’ so officers began scouring social media to try to locate any possible posts on it. An officer checked the Minneapolis Lost Dog Page (https://www.facebook.com/LostPetsMinneapolisMN/) on Facebook and found the dog there.
The dog was returned to its owner who is currently ill and was extremely grateful.
