Minneapolis Police Department Reported Hit And Run Driver Leaves 1 Deceased
Minneapolis police and fire fighters provided emergency aid until they were relieved by paramedics.

March 4, 2021 (MINNEAPOILIS) – Numerous 911 callers directed Minneapolis Police and Fire to 30th Avenue North and Newton Avenue North on a report of a man down in the street. One caller reported the man had been hit by a vehicle that fled.

Officers arrived and located an adult male lying in the street in grave condition. Minneapolis police and fire fighters provided emergency aid until they were relieved by paramedics. The victim was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the male was struck in the roadway by a cream or white SUV that proceeded east on 30th Avenue North without stopping to render aid to the victim.

Minneapolis Police Department’s Crime Lab and Traffic Investigations Units responded to the scene to investigate this incident. Detectives from the Homicide Unit arrived on the scene and have begun their work.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the victim along the nature and cause of death.
