Minneapolis Police Looking For Person Of Interest In City's Last Homicide
Paramedics and Minneapolis Fire Department personnel arrived and located the deceased body of an adult female believed to be in her 30s.

April 10, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – On Wednesday afternoon 12:32 pm, Minneapolis Fire and Paramedics responded to a call for medical assistance inside a residence on the 400 block of Ridgewood Avenue.

Paramedics and Minneapolis Fire Department personnel arrived and located the deceased body of an adult female believed to be in her 30s. There were signs of trauma to the victim. Police were immediately summonsed to the scene.
Based on evidence at the scene a suspicious death investigation was initiated

Homicide detectives worked closely with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Officer to identify the victim as Nikkiyia Robinson, 38. The Medical Examiner’s Office personnel determined that the cause of death was sharp force trauma to the chest and the nature of death is homicide.
Strong and persistent investigation has identified a person of interest.
The Minneapolis Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Jerome Anthony Woodland, 53 years of age. He is described as being 6 feet tall, weighing 193 pounds, bald with facial hard (at that time) and brown eyes. He is an African American Male.
Anyone knowing the whereabout of Woodland is asked to call 911. We warn people not to approach Woodland but rather call 911.
