Minneapolis Police Reported 1 Deceased And 1 Is In Custody In Afternoon Shooting
Officers arrived and located an adult male, believed to be in his 20's, deceased outside. The suspect(s) fled prior to officer's arrival.

March 15, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – Monday afternoon at 3:17 pm, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a shooting that occurred on the 900 block of 24th Street East.

Officers arrived and located an adult male, believed to be in his 20’s, deceased outside. The suspect(s) fled prior to officer’s arrival.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a physical altercation broke out inside the shopping mall and that it spilled outside. It was outside that one person pulled a gun and shot the other.

Approximately 90 minutes later, the suspect, an adult male, called to turn himself in. Officers met with him and took him into custody and recovered a handgun.
